Lyrics to “Zombie Girlfriend,” an Original Song by Adam Bulger

I just stumbled on this looking through some word documents. I think I meant it to be like a Randy Travis style wistful country ballad. Never got around to writing music for it and I guess I must have just forgotten about it.

So maybe now it’s just an early Halloween treat.

“Zombie Girlfriend,”

By Adam Bulger

She broke my heart when she was alive
Her loss drove me nuts
Now, she’s dead and risen from the grave
And wants to eat my guts
I should be happy to see her,
But it’s just not the same
I need her heart completely
She only cares about my tasty brain

She’s walking towards me slowly
Her mouth is dripping blood and gore
I can barely lift my chainsaw
or stand with all the blood spilled on the floor

She used to be so playful,
Would laugh and call me rude
But now when she looks at me
All she sees is food.

CHORUS:

My girlfriend is a zombie,
An undead, walking ghoul
I thought that she’d still love me
Guess I was a fool

Bridge:

She was a long, lean beauty
Back when she could talk
Now she’s got a gorgeous
Stumbling limp to her walk

Last Verse:

She used to call me Romeo
And I’d call her Juliet
Now she looks like she stepped off a Romero
